Diary entry - After writing some English diaries and being corrected

This is an entry from my diary. Please check it and correct any mistakes.

After writing some English diaries and being corrected, I've gradually grasped the way of using tenses. After several attempts, I found I'd learned some things that were not taught in grammar books, or maybe I just haven't encountered them in the books yet. Although I sometimes make the same mistakes, it is great for me to get used to using particular tenses in different contexts.
