Does this sound natural "recommended as of" or "recommended since" ?

This is the text:

Convert the configuration entries to the new format that is recommended as of MailChecker version 1.3

Context:
I'm talking about converting the configuration entries in a configuration file.
I'm not sure about "that is recommended as of" part. Should it be "that is recommended since version 1.3 of MailChecker" instead?
MailChecker is the name of a software.

Please convert the configuration entries to the new format [STRIKE]that is[/STRIKE] as has been recommended [STRIKE]as of[/STRIKE] since (the release of) MailChecker version 1.3.
Try that. The text in parenthesis is optional.

Thank you. I appreciate your help. Is it possible to use just "as" instead of "as has been"?

Please convert the configuration entries to the new format as recommended since the release of MailChecker version 1.3.
