Effective parent-teacher partnerships

I'm studying the importance of parent participation in English learners English language development. I'm hoping that you might have some insight into this topic that you would be willing to share. I'd like to know what you think are the most important aspects of parental participation as well as ways in which parents can help their children develop English language skills.

I would appreciate anything that you can tell me.

Sorry, I teach adults, many of whom are actually learning English for the exact opposite reason - so they can participate more with their children's schooling.

Same for me! I taught almost exclusively adults when I lived in Spain and I now teach conversational English to adults in the UK.

I'm afraid that we're not much of a young learners' forum - as COPPA law requires members to be over 14, that does tend to slant things one way.
