English Grammar

Hello

I am in the process of starting the CELTA course. I would like to start understanding the grammar used and in particular understand the various verb forms and verb tenses. I would really appreciate it if anyone can advise me on where I can find out about the aforementioned. I am a native English speaker and as I was not taught grammar at school, I am finding it difficult to relate verb forms and tenses. Any help would be much appreciated.

Practical English Usage by Michael Swan is an invaluable guide for any CELTA trainee. Swan covers the tenses well.

It's very useful in the early years of teaching too.
