There is a question as follows:
First, it is important to recognize what kind of person you are and which special qualities make you different from _______.
A. everyone else B. the other C. someone else D. the rest

Which is the answer? A or C?

I prefer C. But A seems right, too. I am confused: (
Could you please tell me the difference between A and C ? Thanks a lot.

everyone else >> all the other people to whom you can be compared.
someone else >> one other person to whom you can be compared.

Does anyone else think "the rest" works well too?

If overall context set the question in relation to "the rest", then yes, it would work.

It is a very nice [in the broader sense] question!

I'm listening to an audio book on strengths. It's been interesting to realize how individualized a person's strengths are. Not better, but different.
