I want to say two people have a deep passion for one another. Can I use "animalistic passion"? Is this correct and natural?

Hannah and Robert have a sort of animalistic passion for each other. They can't keep their hands off of one another.

"Have a sort of" in this sentence sounds a little stiff to me. I suggest "have an animalistic passion for each other".

It suggests that they lust for each other strongly, on a very basic level, and nothing more. If that's what you mean, it's all right.

Being unable to keep your hands off each other doesn't have to mean animalistic passion however. It (1) doesn't necessarily mean only lust, and (2) is also normal human behaviour, and not just "animalistic".

their hands off of one another.
"Off of" sounds colloquial to me. "Off one another" is in my opinion more usual.
