Hello.

I'm writing a story. In it, a character is really mad at the everyone. He hates his life and he wants to fight the whole world to get what he wants.

Can I write a sentence like this? Is it correct? What do you think about it?

He is fed up with his life. He is mad at everyone he knows. He wants to show the world the finger and does something he has never done.

You give someone the finger. The tense changes incorrectly in the final clause.

So, is this okay and natural?

He is fed up with his life. He is mad at everyone he knows. He wants to give the world the finger and does something he has never done.

About tense, do you mean the present perfect? What tense should I use?

You have a parallel structure in the last sentence. Does that help?

First, could you please tell me what you think about this sentence?

He is fed up with his life. He is mad at everyone he knows. He wants to give the world the finger.

About the last tense, Is this better? He wants to do something he never does.

The first underlined sentence — indeed, the whole first passage — is fine. So is your revised final sentence. I hadn't understood what you were trying to say.

There was nothing wrong with "does something ...". Admittedly, my initial reaction when I read "does" was that it should be "do" because I thought it was a continuation of the "He wants to ..." part: "He wants to give the world the finger and he wants to do something he has never done."

However, on rereading it, I see that it is supposed to mean "He wants to give the world the finger so he does something ...". In that case, "does" is correct. It matches the tense of "He is fed up ...", "He is mad at ..." and "He wants ..."
