Hello teachers,
hope you are doing well.

Please, can somebody explain to me why in this sentence the speaker says, I do a little photography" instead of " I take a little photography"?
The question was "What do you do in your free time? Do you have any hobbies?"

My doubt concerns about the use of the verb "do photography" and not "take photography". Can I say that "do photography" and "take photography" are synonyms in this context?

Thank you in advance for your help and clarifications.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

No, you can't say that because "take photography" is wrong (unless you're talking about taking a photography class at school or college). We do photography or we take photographs.
