Hello,

I may just be missing the obvious and correct me if I'm wrong but, from my understanding "I have been told" is passive because "been told" is vague as it doesn't state who told what. How would "I have been told" be written in active voice?

It's passive voice, but it's not a complete sentence. It's passive voice because the "subject" is not the actor but is acted upon.
