Hello.

I would like to know which is [STRIKE]more[/STRIKE] appropriate and/or [STRIKE]correctly[/STRIKE] correct.

1. independent from her husband
2. independent of her husband

[STRIKE]And[/STRIKE] How can I [STRIKE]can[/STRIKE] differentiate between "independent from" and "independent of"?

[STRIKE]Thank you.[/STRIKE] Unnecessary. Thank us after we help you, by clicking on the "Thank" button.

Welcome to the forum. :hi:

Please note my corrections above. It's important to follow these rules of written English at all times:

- Start every sentence with a capital letter.
- End every sentence with one appropriate punctuation mark.
- Always capitalise the word "I" (first person singular pronoun).
- Don't put a space before a comma, full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.
- Always put a space after a comma, full stop, question mark or exclamation mark.

On the forum, always mark out the words you are asking us about in some way. I have enclosed them in quotation marks above. You could put them in bold or in italics.
