Hello everyone,

When you have an injury what preposition do you use?

Last year I got an injury on my wrist and I still have it. Would it be correct or would you use in instead of on. Could you use either on or in?

Many thanks

It would be far more natural to say "Last year, I injured my wrist and it is still painful".

'On' my wrist is possible, although it implies that the injury is to the skin someplace around your wrist. I'd be more likely to specify the injury as well with 'on'.

I have a cut on my wrist.

If you're referring to some kind of internal injury, use Emsr2d2's phrasing in #2
