I'm not sure if saying so is correct and common for native English speaker ? Please advise. Thanks.

No native speakers I know would say bicycle riding. They would say bike riding.

Generally, the word bicycle sounds a bit formal/old-fashioned these days.

I wouldn't even say "I'm going bike riding". I'd say "I'm going for a bike ride".

I wouldn't say I'm going bike riding, either.

Plus I probably wouldn't even use go bike riding in any context. To refer to the action as a sporting/leisure activity, I would rather use go biking.

To refer to the sporting activity, I'd say "cycling".

For me, cycling elicits road bikes and biking elicits off-road bikes.

Maybe it's because I'm a keen mountain biker, but I would never use cycling to refer to what I do.

Biking could mean riding on a motorcycle.
Among cyclists, they would probably say "go for a ride".
