Tom: English is my favourite subject, but I don’t want to learn/study History. It’s boring.
Jack: Oh, really? I enjoy learning/studying History.
(By me)

In this context, I want to know if both learn(ing) and study(ing) are correct.

What do you find when you look up the words in a dictionary?

Thanks, GoesStation.

In dictionaries, I can only find examples of “study history”. But in COCA, there are 70 examples of “learn history” and 120 examples of “study history”.
That’s why I’m confused.

Look up "learn" and "study". What do you find?

Thanks, GoesStation.
After looking up the two words in dictionaries, I decided to follow the dictionaries not considering the 70 examples of “learn history” in COCA.

At the risk of becoming repetitive, when you look up "study" and "learn", what do you find? Please tell us what you have discovered (links to definitions help) and show us that you understand the difference.

The following is what I found in dictionaries.
