Yes, both made and maid have the same pronunciation, /meɪd/.

You've been asked many times to start your sentences with capital letters and end them with full stops.

You don't seem very interested in trying to improve the standards of your literacy.

Well said, Rover.

@ light86: unless you make some effort to follow the advice you request, many of us will simply not answer your questions.

Hi, when I[STRIKE]'ve[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]hearded[/STRIKE] (the verb would be "heard" if that were the correct verb) look at "maid" and "made" in dictionary it seems to me that [STRIKE]is[/STRIKE] they have the same pronunication.

Thank you.

I echo the previous comments. You have made 34 posts in this forum. By now, we expect you to:

- Start every sentence with a capital letter.
- Capitalise the word "I" (first person singular).
- End each sentence with the appropriate punctuation mark (full stop, question mark, exclamation mark).
- Put words or phrases you are querying inside quotation marks, or make them stand out from the rest of the text some other way.

I can assure you that if you follow this advice, you will get more assistance from teachers on this site. For the first few posts, we are prepared to overlook such basic errors, but after 34 posts, you are expected to be able to follow the rules of written English.
