I'm an Englishman working in the automotive industry in Brazil (Salvador) designing and fixing bits of cars; the guys at work want me to teach them English. I got a TEFL certificate from London in 1999 and taught in Sao Paulo - until I got myself an engineering job here -pays better!!

Now, I gotta prepare some lessons ....

People ask me 'how long have u been here?' I reply 'a year or so' (in portuguese) and they say 'oh you speak such good portuguese!'- I say 'you didn't ask me how long I've been speaking portuguese, did you?!' If they had asked that the reply would have been 14 years!

I didn't do much browsing yet at this site..but first impressions count - it looks great!
