I'm writing a script:

Outside. House.
The man starts walking toward the house.

House. Bedroom.
Jeff in bed, moving, not quite asleep yet. Suddenly --
A light turns on outside.
But Jeff has his back to the window and doesn't notice it.

Outside. House.
The man has triggered the motion sensor lights on the front of the house. He moves around the side of the house.

Is 'on the front of the house' correct and how you would write it?

On is the normal and natural preposition for things attached to a wall.
