"One study in particular had participants play Super Mario 64 for 30 minutes a day ov

Hi all,
Here's the subtitle of the Youtube video I watched on asapScience. It stated as:
"One study in particular had participants play Super Mario 64 for 30 minutes a day over 3 months."
What I don't understand is shouldn't we use played, the past participle instead of the infinitive?

Re: "One study in particular had participants play Super Mario 64 for 30 minutes a da

The sentence is correct. The verb 'had' is used causatively, followed by the bare infinitive. Click here to learn more.

Re: "One study in particular had participants play Super Mario 64 for 30 minutes a da

When "have/had" is used in its causative sense, we use the bare infinitive with it.

What would you have me do?
I had him walk the dog.
She had me clean the kitchen twice!

Re: "One study in particular had participants play Super Mario 64 for 30 minutes a da

May I ask a question here?

What does "What would you have me do?" mean?
Does it mean something like "What would you like me to do?"

Re: "One study in particular had participants play Super Mario 64 for 30 minutes a da

Exactly like that.
