Hi, I've been living in the UK for 8 years now but every once in a while I'm lost for words in everyday situations. Tonight I was trying some clothes on at a store.
How would you say
(1) when clothes of a particular brand are often larger than what's indicated on the tag, say I usually wear Large size trousers but anything made by this particular American brand I only need medium. "This brand often (phrasal verb) large" ? I'm almost certain I've heard a phrase like that before, I think it was a phrasal verb starting with "come(s)", but I'm not sure.
(2) another phrase, or maybe a phrasal verb: I want my skiing bibs/salopettes to have fabric up to my chest. "I want these to ... up high" ? What verb/phrase to use there?

Or maybe people will come up with different phrases altogether - any suggestions will be appreciated.

This brand of trousers always comes up big.

I need some salopettes which come up to chest height.

Thanks, this was helpful. And while we're discussing this (btw can I say "while we're at it"? ). you chose to say "comes up big". Would "large" be equally correct?
