What's the correct way of phrasing the question with "please tell me" or "let me know" :

e.g:

1) please tell me when can I get it ?
OR
2) please tell me when I can get it ?

Also :
3) let me know when can we talk ?
OR
4) let me know when we can talk ?

Are the above questions phrased correctly ?

Many Thanks.

1- They are not questions. They are just requists. "when can I get it?" and "when can we talk?" are both questions. but when you say:"please tell me..." and "let me know..." your sentences are not questions anymore. So dont put that question mark at the end of above sentences.

2- I think you should say:

- Please tell me when I can get it.
- Let me know when we can talk.

Thanks Khosro for the help , really appreciate it...:)

Hello ethanhunt:

Although 1 and 3 are frequently heard in India, they are considered wrong in the rest of the English speaking world. As khosro said, 2 and 4 are correct.
