I learned a new word: ubiquitous

Have I used it correctly in this sentence? Is this sentence okay?

The cellphone is undoubtedly the most ubiquitous consumer-electronic device around the globe.

You used ubiquitous correctly. We'd usually say "in the world."

We would not hyphenate consumer electronic. You're not creating an adjective. You're using two separate adjectives. It's a consumer device and an electronic device.

Thanks. Is this okay?

Yes, indeed! Well done.

PS -

Someone might point out that, by definition, something either is ubiquitous or it isn't, so one thing can't be more ubiquitous than another.

I won't.
