Hello.
Is this sentence grammatical? Would you say it sounds posh?

The government is to blame for the precarious economical situation of this nation of ours.

Welcome to the forum! :hi:

It would be grammatically correct if you changed one word. Can you see which one? I'd say it sounds strained rather than posh.

Per forum rules, I changed the thread's title to include some words from the message.

Economic?
...economic situation of our nation.

Hi and a warm welcome from me. :)

the precarious economical situation of this nation of ours.
First, "economical" and "economic" have different meanings. Second, saying "the economic situation of this nation of ours" is not wrong, but you can say the same thing much more concisely:

The government is to blame for the precarious state our economy is in.

And you can make it more concise (if you want to), by saying:

The government is to blame for the precarious state of our economy.
The government is responsible for the precarious state of our economy.

Thanks for your remarks, buddies.

Thanks for your replies/answers. [STRIKE]remarks,[/STRIKE]
You're welcome, but note that you don't need to write a post to thank someone on the forum in future. Just click Like/Thank instead. :)

That's highly casual and inappropriate here (and in any formal/semi-formal context).

Where are those buttons, teacher?

Take a look at the picture attached. Do you see them on your browser now?
