Which of these is the correct answer to the question "What's the name of this painting?"

1. "The painting's name is The Potato Eaters."

2. "The name of the painting is The Potato Eaters."

3. "The Potato Eaters is the painting's name."

The most natural response to that question is "The Potato Eaters"

Yes, but in terms of grammar are the given responses correct?

In general, if we choose to use the long form of a response, we mirror the wording of the question.

What is the name of this painting?
The name of this painting is XXX.

Note that a far more natural question is "What's this painting called?"

My preferences: 2., 1., 3.

'The Potato Eaters' should be in italics or single quotation marks.

But Rachel is already using double quotes for her sentences.

Oh, of course. The quotation-mark style has to toggle between single and double when you nest text that needs them.
