They both work.

I suppose the second is technically more correct if the other person needs to choose just one from several. But in real life I think the first's just as likely.

I think the original is more wordy and more likely to be used for official purposes, to sound more formal. Tarheel's simple version says the same thing.
"Options you can choose from" is a bit superfluous. Of course options are meaning for choosing.
