[Grammar] to be afraid to do sth? to be arfaid that sth might happen?

Are the following sentences correct?

1) I am afraid to go there.
2) I was afraid that he would take her from me.

I was afraid that he would take her away from me. ( I am not sure about this)​

These sentences are correct.

Correction: This was meant to be a response to the OP. englishhobby's sentences are also correct.

I think you can easily say

I am afraid to go/I am afraid of going.

They're both fine. Often, in the 2nd one, the 'that' is omitted - which is fine too,
