[Grammar] to be afraid to do sth? to be arfaid that sth might happen?

Hello, everyone,
Are the following sentences correct?

1) I am afraid to go there.
2) I was afraid that he would take her from me.

:?:
 
Not a teacher.
Hi
I am afraid of going there.
I was afraid that he would take her away from me. ( I am not sure about this)
 
Not a teacher.

"I am afraid of going there."
"I was afraid that he would take her away from me."
These sentences are correct.

Correction: This was meant to be a response to the OP. englishhobby's sentences are also correct.

They're both fine. Often, in the 2nd one, the 'that' is omitted - which is fine too,
