I'd like to ask for your help with types of leather.
I'm trying to translate descriptions of leather bags.

1. This bag is made of top quality natural cowhide leather.

Is 'cowhide leather' correct?
Or should I use just 'cowhide' without 'leather'?
Or maybe 'cow leather' is better?

2. This bag is made of finest quality natural pigskin.

The same problem. Just 'pigskin'? Or 'pigskin leather'?

3. This bag is made of natural calfskin.

The same problem.

We can also have 'grain leather'.
Is this correct:
4. This bag is made of top quality natural grain cowhide leather.

There's also type of leather called 'split'.
5. This bag is made of natural split pigskin.

I would not add leather to 2-3, and I'd just use leather for 1 & 4 instead of saying cowskin.

The only "pigskin" that is leather is an American football. (Though made of leather, it is often referred to as a "pigskin.")

It's probably the only non-spherical "ball" I can think of (correct me if you must, though). :-D

... apart from Rugby and Australian Rules Footballs.

It's a prolate spheroid. Every schoolboy knows that. ;-)
