I have a list of keywords. Each keyword has a different color. The change will affect all colors.

Before change:
- red
- green
- yellow

After change:
- black
- magenta
- purple

Knowing this, should I use "colour" or "colours" in the plural form in an imperative sentence?

1. Change the colour of keywords.
or,
2. Change the colours of keywords.

You could use either but I prefer the singular.

You need "the" before "keywords".

May I have one more question?

If I use:

Change the color of certain keywords.

When the word "certain" is used it is necessary to specify after the text which keywords were changed or not necessarily? In other words does "certain" calls for an explanation?

Bill: Change the color of certain keywords.
Ben: Which (ones)?

Thank you. Does that apply to "custom" as well?

Change the color of custom keywords.

By custom I mean those defined by myself not the software.

Note my corrections to your three posts above.
