The present simple and present continuous tenses have different uses. That means that they can both be correct, but in different situations.

I can't justify it grammatically, but you will hear:

You're getting taller every day.
You get taller every day.
You're taller every time I see you!
You get taller every time I see you!

If you want to emphasise that it's a changing and developing situation, then use present continuous.

If you don't want to emphasise this, but instead just want to state a general fact, then present simple is better.
