    Default need help with this sentence

    "Jack Lee could be the messenger from hell; he could be issuing an ultimatum to Piggy, one to do with the baby, one he expected the lawyer to deliver to his client." ("The baby is Piggy's and kidnapped.)

    My question: does the "one" reffer to "ultimatum"?

    As a NES, but not a teacher, yes, that would be a correct assumption from the text.
