The yearly goal of my eighth grade English class was to diagram the first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence which, as you know, is actually one sentence. They loved it, and each year, in June, the completed diagram wrapped around my classroom walls.
I would be glad to do anything I can to help promote this sport.

I have used the "Pledge of Allegiance" in a similar way. However, I do not officially teach this any more. My contestants are going to have to largely learn the rules on their own -- though I will supply them with what they need, including video-taped lessons on Youtube.

One thing I haven't stressed here, is that there lurks a sense of humor behind all of this -- which is NOT to say that I do not take it seriously. The point is that it is meant to be fun -- even funny.
