competitive sentence diagramming

I have discovered that students LOVE to compete at sentence diagramming -- even if they are not very good at it.
It clearly works as a "sport" at the chalk, blackboard, classroom level.
I would like to know if anyone out there has ideas about how to make it a sport online?

The yearly goal of my eighth grade English class was to diagram the first paragraph of the Declaration of Independence which, as you know, is actually one sentence. They loved it, and each year, in June, the completed diagram wrapped around my classroom walls.

I would be glad to do anything I can to help promote this sport.

Wonderful!
I have used the "Pledge of Allegiance" in a similar way. However, I do not officially teach this any more. My contestants are going to have to largely learn the rules on their own -- though I will supply them with what they need, including video-taped lessons on Youtube.

One thing I haven't stressed here, is that there lurks a sense of humor behind all of this -- which is NOT to say that I do not take it seriously. The point is that it is meant to be fun -- even funny.
