Curious as to the diagram. I'm thinking about it, and back home seems to modify relatives (meaning which ones?). Yet I cannot help but think of back home (showing where?)as an adverbial objective, therefore placing it underneath the verb.

What is your take?

Perhaps I do not understand. When you say that "back home" is

an adverbial objective that modifies a verb, may I ask which verb

you are referring to?

According to the diagram above, it does belong to the implied verb

"live."

truly help you better understand the parts of an English sentence.

But I honestly don't think it is that complicated. I suspect that some of my students will be better at R-K than I am after about one more month of partial instruction. I say "partial" because they are studying other matters from me at the same time.

I just think that it is completely new to so many people outside the USA or under the age of 40.

Following closely the site that my students are creating will probably make anyone who tries to be as expert as I am.
