Also, this article from Wikipedia explains the process more in depth--including adjectival phrases and prepositional phrases. Remember that this is recursive, so there is bound to be a place in the tree where you will revert to the basic NP (noun phrase) structure.

During my last class we were learning ow to draw it and I think very usefull is book by Virginia Evans ” An Introduction to Language":up:
Well, I recommend you to read a book named Syntax by Andrew Carnie....There're some explicit rules in the book that tell you how to draw a tree diagram correctly. you can learn the rules step by step, and there are lots of examples there :)
