Diagraming Sentences
I am having the worst trouble putting this sentence into a tree diagram:
The team from Iraq joined the Olympics
What shoudl go under the verb phrase? i had it like this
NP: The(article) Team (noun)
VP: from Iraq (PP)
and then whaT?

The PP
from Iraq
describes the NP
the team
, so it's part of that NP, not part of the VP:

The team from Iraq] [
VP
joined the Olympics]]
