cooling high heels
Is there some cryptic meaning in the following sentence:
"Melba was cooling her high heels in a prison cell..."
Or does it simply mean Melba is passing the time in jail rather bored?
Thanks

OK, but then, do you mean my "passing the time rather bored" suggestion is right?
Thank you
