Shipping service/services?
Are the following sentences all acceptable?
This company offers a good shipping service.
This company offers good shipping service.
This company offers good shipping services.

Re: Shipping service/services?
Only the last one works for me. But "good" is not something to trumpet. They probably offer "quality" shipping services. Or "affordable." Or "world-class." Something like that.

Any one of the three are OK and would not be unusual to hear in AmE.

I think the first and third sentences sound OK but the second doesn't sound very natural.

Thank you, emsr2d2, billmcd, and SoothingDave.
How about:
1. The company offers a prompt and efficient shipping service.
2. The company offers prompt and efficient shipping service.
3. The company offers prompt and efficient shipping services.
By the way, in the case of "after-sale service," I believe that Americans would say:
1. The company offers good after-sale service.
but not
2. The company offers a good after-sale service.
or
3. The company offers good after-sale services.
Is my udnerstanding correct?

Re: Shipping service/services?
2 is not good. 1 or 3 could work, depending on how you think of the company's offerings. Normally, it's 1, but if the company offers a variety of services, you would use the plural.

2. The company offers a good after-sale service. OK . With "a" it suggests a possible service guarantee or contract.
or
3. The company offers good after-sale services. OK. Suggests a number of different or variety of services.
Any of these are possible and

All depend on context and implied or inferred meaning.
