I need some help with the following words. I have used spell check and they appear to be correct, but want to make sure before typing my resume
Please give the correct spelling for each of the following words.
is Ar. Correct
Is Mirco Economics Correct
Is Skid-steer loader correct
Is Trackhoe correct
They seem to be industry-specific terms that are not in general use outside of a particular industry. A spell checker will mark them as being incorrect since they are not in general dictionaries. It might be good to explain the terms if your resume will be read by someone not in an industry that uses such terms. These terms are similar to a second-loader - a person who takes the cable off of a log that has been pulled from the forest and directs the crane operator in the loading of a log truck.
From a stand point of a teacher I would like to know if you were graded on spelling on a paper if you used the state abbrevation for Arkansas and Missouri as Ar. and MO. if this would be counted as misspelled?
If you mean Ar to be Akransas, it's wrong.
AR is Arkansas.
Ark. can be Arkansas.
Ar or Ar. is wrong.
I'm not a teacher, but I write for a living. Please don't ask me about 2nd conditionals, but I'm a safe bet for what reads well in (American) English.
If I use Ar. for the state abbrevation for Arkansas and MO. for the state abbrevation is this a spelling error. What is the correct abbrevation?
Barb already told you.
AR is the current, official abbreviation. No period (full stop) is used. Both letters are capitals. "Ark." is the older abbreviation.
MO is Missouri. "Mo." is the older one.
