Which one is correct when we want to ask someone about an event to make sure it is going to happen according to the schedule?

Is today's meeting firmed up?
Is today's meeting confirmed?

I would use "confirmed". I can't imagine myself ever using "firmed up" in that context.

I agree.

We might firm up the details of the meeting - (decide on the time, the venue, the dress code, the refreshments etc).
