Personal Statement Ending
Hello,
I am currently applying to different universities in the UK and the final sentence of my personal statement is as follows:
I have come to the conclusion that studying Masters X at University Y is the right choice for me and I would be very excited if I were to receive an offer.
I was wondering if this is correct or if it needs to say: ... I would be very excited if I received an offer
Thanks for the help!!
Mr. TA

Re: Personal Statement Ending
Both are correct, but I would change excited. You called also use an infinitive- I would be honored/honoured/delighted to receive an offer (this avoids the outside chance implied by using the second conditional).
