Her favourite foods are milk and fish.
Are the words in bold correctly used? If they are, would it also correct to use 'favourite food is' instead?

If her favourite is fish cooked in milk, you could say "Her favourite food is fish in milk".

The sentence means she likes milk and fish, two different items.
In that case, should I say "Her favourite foods are milk and fish" OR
"Her favourite food is milk and fish"?
