The rain is not heavy/not
We should say 'the rain is heavy' instead of 'big'.
A: Is the rain heavy?
B: Not big.
Is 'not big' natural in the above context?
Thanks.

No, it's wrong. The adjective 'big' can rarely collocate with 'rain'.
