Interpreter and translator.

So I've been wondering what's the difference between these two words. I've read the thread about "Translate or Interpret" and the difference there is quite clear, but how should a person name himself? Does his work come in account here? I mean for me the word "interpreter" is kind of more, how should I put it, presentable? When I hear someone calling himself a translator I always imagine Google Translate or some other web dictionary. Is it just me or that really sound somewhat strange? Thanks.

Generally, an interpreter is fluent in two languages and translates a conversation or interview between two people who speak only one of those languages.

A translator renders a written work in one language into a written version in another language.

Ok, so if I translate movies(if there are no subtitles, I translate what I hear and write it down, and after that I record it with microphone) that makes me a translator?
