What is the probability of "Ann loves Mary but not Kate." being interpreted as "Ann loves Mary but Kate does not." ? Does prosody change anything here?

Does prosody change anything here?

Yes, it changes everything. If there's any way that it means Kate doesn't love Mary it would have to come from prosody, given no contextual clues.
