Hello all

We have a colony under the name "MLA and MP's Colony". MLA is member of legislative assembly and MP is member of parliament. The name suggests its a colony of members of the assembly and parliament. Is the name of the colony supposed be "MLA's and MP's Colony" or is "MLA and MP's Colony"? Which is correct?

Thanks

What do you mean by 'colony'?

Usually in India a "colony" is a housing complex. In this case I would imagine it's a housing complex reserved for MLAs and MPs.

Neither is correct (unless there is only one MP living there).

I suggest MLA and MPs' Colony or MLAs and MPs Colony.

I think I'd go for Rover's second suggestion.

Thank you Rover_KE and 5jj!
