Yes. Personally, however, I prefer using the second sentence of each set. They just come more naturally (to me, I repeat).

Sentences 3 and 5 sounds as if the furniture is only old when it is in your house, and that the doors only squeak when they are in your house. By using sentences 4 and 6, you make it clear that you are talking about your own furniture and doors.

1 and 2 are both possible with slightly different meanings. I would use sentence 1 if I were talking about a few specific children and I wanted to make it clear that they are happy in this particular school - perhaps they were not happy in a previous school. I would use sentence 2 if I simply wanted to explain that all the children who attend that particular school are happy.
