Hello,

I am writing a story. I need to describe an RPG shot. How I describe the sound, speed, flare and smoke of the rocket propelling very swiftly towards its target? Is there a verb for that?

Then he turned around and saw a man with an RPG. He aimed and pulled the trigger and then....

Can I say a rocket came zapping out of the launcher?

. . . and then — Zip! Ker-BLAM!

Actually, I would like to learn the verbs that can be used in this situation to dramatically describe the speed and the sound and the flare.

BOOM! works for me.
:-D

There are lots of verbs for both.

How do you describe them? Describe them by describing them.

You seem to be asking for verbs for nouns: "sound, speed, flare and smoke." The corresponding verbs are heard, sped, flared, and smoked.

But I don't think that answers your question. You might just describe how loud, how fast, how bright, and how smoky it was. Again, there are countless ways to do that. A list of verbs doesn't exist.
