This is an entry from my diary. Please check it and correct any mistakes.

Last night, I watched an video about museums and learned some things about conservation. The reason why some sections of museums are very dim is that preventing exhibits from damage by UV light. No wonder! I used to moan about the darkness and thought they were trying to make the rooms look mystic. The video also mentioned some insects would eat the collections in museums. It reminded me of my certificates which were eaten by some bugs. The edges of my certificates are now bumpy. Fortunately, the important ones are still intact.

Take care with your use of "a/an".
The reason why that some sections of museums are very dim is that preventing to prevent exhibits from being damaged by UV light.
Try not to use "reason why".
No wonder!
This doesn't work here. I'm not sure you entirely understand what it means.
I used to moan about the darkness and thought they were trying to make the rooms look mystical/mysterious.
I'm not sure which you meant at the end, but "mystic" was wrong.
The video also mentioned that some insects would sometimes eat the collections artefacts. in museums.
They don't eat whole collections, surely?
It reminded me of my certificates which were eaten by some bugs.
What certificates? More information is needed here. I'd probably reorder the sentence to "It reminded me of when bugs ate my ... certificates".
The edges of my certificates are now bumpy.
"Bumpy" isn't the word you need. Try to come up with a better word.
Fortunately, the important ones are still intact.

There's "moth-eaten", but I'm not certain that applies here.
