I am writing an adventure comic, and there are some phrases I need help with.
1. "Crowning you without trial will hand us a national riot."
Is the underlined part is correct? I've thought of some alternatives, such as "will lead to a national riot", which aren't as dramatic. Some others, such as "will spark a national riot", sound better but I'm not sure if they're correct. And I need to keep it brief for it to fit in the speech bubble... I'm open to any corrections or suggestions.
2. "Some of us do have the guts to claim the throne."
I use "do" for emphasis... is it correct?
Thank you in advance!
