See above. Always put a space before an opening bracket but don't put a space after one.

bhatt, please note that speakers of American English will take '02-01' to mean 'Feb 1st'. British English-speakers will be unsure whether you mean 'Feb 1st' or '2nd Jan'.

To be sure of being understood, include the name (or abbreviation) of the month when writing dates.
