Pease tell me if my understanding is correct.
1) While/When/As I was cooking, Tina called me.
“While”, “when” and “as” are interchangeable and all mean “during the time”.

2) While/When Joe was listening to music, Jack was playing video games.
“While” and “when” are interchangeable and both mean “at the same time”.
“As” can’t replace “while” or “when” here.

3) When/As I met Tom, he was jogging.
“When” and “as” are interchangeable and both mean “at the time”.
“While” can’t replace “when” or “as” here.

They're all grammatical. While is the most natural in most situations.

“As” can’t replace “while” or “when” here.

They're all grammatical. While is more natural in most situations..

3) When/As I met Tom, he was jogging.
“When” and “as” are interchangeable and both mean “at the time”.

Both are grammatical. Only When makes sense.

“While” can’t replace “when” or “as” here.

Use When.
When means at the time.

As and while mean during the time.
