Hi, dear teachers. I don't know a word in English. What do you call your wife's sister's husband?

Technically, a brother-in-law is only the brother of our spouse, or the husband of our sister. However, we sometimes extend the term informally to cover our spouse's sister's husband and our sister's husband's brother.

Thank you but isn't it your wife's brother?

I wrote "the brother of our spouse". A man's spouse is his wife, a woman's spouse is her husband.

I think we normally do this. Otherwise, wouldn't your wife's sister's husband be her brother-in-law, but not yours?

That is the situation. Technically, my wife's sister's husband is not one of my in-laws.
