Hello friends. My name is Paul, I am 18 years old and I'm from Russia. I do not know the English language, so I write through an interpreter, but I would like to know it. At this point, I want to learn how to read books and watch movies / TV series in the original. Is it possible to combine the study of literature and the study of the English language "by ear." Where to start and what steps to take, what to learn English? You really help me, thanks in advance :)

Hello Paul, and welcome to the forum. :)

I do not know the English language,
How much English do you know? That's important for us to know, so we can help you better.

so I write through an interpreter, but I would like to know it.
Perhaps you could get a teacher to learn the very basics for now.

At this point, I want to learn how to read books and watch movies/TV series in English. [STRIKE]the original.[/STRIKE]

Is it possible to combine the study of literature and the study of the English language "by ear?"
You can certainly use audio-books to read and listen at the same time.

I don't know where to start and what steps to take. What should I do to learn English?

Can you please [STRIKE]really[/STRIKE] help me?
We'll do our best.

Thanks in advance.
You're welcome.

I'm not sure if you are an absolute beginner, but when someone is learning a new language from the very beginning I always suggest:

1) Learn your numbers from 1 to 10.
2) Learn your colours.
3) Learn to say "Hello" and "Goodbye".
4) Learn to ask what time it is, and how to tell time.
5) Learn to describe the weather.

All of those things can help you have a beginning conversation.
